Matthew Blake

Position: Laboratory Technician

General interests

My interests lie in remote sensing and monitoring of inland and coastal water bodies. Over the course of the last few years I have been involved with a large amount of field sampling above and below the water in remote locations. I have been conducting the laboratory analysis for the water constituents relevant to satellite validation, optics and water quality along with demonstrating these protocols to new students as well as the associated data processing. I have participated in and lead many fieldwork campaigns in a variety of locations for different projects and revisited local sites repeatedly in order to begin to develop local long term datasets.
